The 22 Designs Outlaw X is an all-around NTN binding with an easy step-in-and-out mechanism. The binding is easily stepped into, and opening is conveniently done with a pole. The binding has a good suspension, sturdy steel construction, and a light feel when ascending uphill thanks to the free pivot. The binding’s even flex and feel during descents are excellent. The metal flex plate underfoot provides lively flex while offering precise lateral control on skis. A single long spring ensures smooth movement, and with the easy preload adjustment, it is effortless to customize to one’s preference.
