Easy to turn, even in afternoon snow piles.
With Kajo you can change your turn and scrub speed without the ski locking hard onto its edge. That makes skiing easier as the groomed run wears and the snow piles up during the day.
The shape of the tip and tail and a balanced flex help the ski adapt to changing snow. When you want to carve a turn on the edge, the torsionally stiff construction supports the ski’s grip.
Easy to handle on skied-out runs, too.
Kajo’s tip rocker and tapered ends help the skis ride over afternoon chop without catching an edge. Its modest weight and relaxed turn shape keep it easy to handle as the day goes on.
The 85 mm waist does not make Kajo a powder ski. Its width and shape give you more freedom as snow conditions change on groomed runs.
Ash wood core and a unique wood surface.
The ash wood core brings strength and a pleasant liveliness. The surrounding layers, the shape and the flex make Kajo light to handle and support skiing on the edge.
PUSU skis have been developed since 2009, based on physics know-how and feedback from experienced skiers. Kajo is assembled and finished by hand in our workshop in Laukaa. Its through-dyed birch veneer shows the wood’s own grain; the veneer affects the look, while the feel on snow comes from the core, the layers and the shape.
The grain and tone of the wood vary, so your pair may look slightly different from the product photo. Any of the seven other veneers in the collection is €100 extra per pair.

When to choose another model?
A softer longitudinal flex and a wider turn make Kajo easy. Choose Piste 75 if your ski day is all about tight, carved turns on a firm run: it offers more for that. Choose Ahjo 90 if you already ski naturally on the edge and want a stiffer ski that can take a strong load.

In PUSU Full Service we service the bases and edges and refinish the wood surface. The veneer is sanded and treated again, giving a worn surface a new finish.

FAQ
What does wood bring to the ski – and what about weight?
Kajo’s ash wood core gives the construction strength and a pleasant liveliness, and it withstands repeated flexing. The layers fitted around it and the ski’s shape together create the feel on snow. The birch veneer on top gives your pair its own look.
Kajo is slightly lighter than Piste 75, which helps on a long day on the slopes.
How do I choose length and bindings?
You can choose the length yourself or confirm it with us after ordering, before delivery. You’ll find the length guide and the model’s lengths in the purchase area next to Length. Kajo’s dimensions are under Dimensions and specifications.
You can order the skis without bindings, ask for help choosing bindings or add suitable bindings to your order. We check boot and binding compatibility before mounting. Bindings bought from PUSU are mounted free of charge; mounting your own bindings and any cost for it are agreed separately.
Kajo also works for telemark; the telemark binding and its mounting are agreed with us.
PUSU Buy Back and warranty
We buy your skis back within four years of purchase for €100–200, depending on their condition, and you do not need to buy a new pair. Read more under PUSU Buy Back.
The skis have a two-year warranty covering material and manufacturing defects and the mounting of bindings installed by PUSU. Normal wear and impact damage are not covered. Full warranty terms are in our terms of delivery.

EU shipping is free for orders over €100. Standard models have a 14-day right of return under our terms of delivery. Under the terms of delivery, binding mounting and personalisation such as laser engraving are made-to-order work, and products delivered with them cannot be exchanged or returned. Contact us before returning a product and we’ll send you return instructions.
Wondering whether Kajo is the right ski for you?
Kajo is a good choice if you ski mostly at ski resorts and want one pair for a full day of changing conditions. It suits progressing skiers and experienced skiers who like to vary their style. You can also carve hard on edge with Kajo. If strong edge hold and tight carving are your priorities, have a look at Piste 75 and Ahjo 90 too.
Kajo is at its best on groomed runs as the snow gets skied out or slushy during the day. For park, moguls or deep ungroomed snow, choose a ski made for that. If you are looking for a ski mainly for touring, we’ll help you choose a better-suited model.
