Loska 100

One pair of skis for an Alpine trip.

Loska 100 lets you choose the day’s runs by the snow. Take the same pair out into the morning’s natural snow and carry on with it on groomed pistes as conditions change. The 100 mm waist and the tip rise support float in soft snow, and the tapered tail makes it easier to change your turn. This all-mountain and freeride ski combines piste days and natural-snow descents in one pair.

Who it’s for

Skiers who want piste and freeride days on the same pair.

Where

On groomed pistes and in the soft snow beyond them.

Length

Order now. We’ll confirm the right length with you before delivery.

How to choose your ski length

Start with your own height and where you ski. Then decide whether you value easy turning or stability at speed more.

On piste
A piste ski is usually about 5–15 cm shorter than you.
On and off piste
An all-mountain ski is often slightly shorter than you or about your height.
Soft natural snow
A freeride ski is often about your height or slightly longer.

Between two sizes?

The shorter option is usually easier to handle and turn. The longer one usually adds stability at speed and float in soft snow.

Example: if you are 175 cm tall, the general starting range for a piste ski is about 160–170 cm.

These are general starting points. Your weight, skiing style and the ski’s construction also matter. Even experienced skiers don’t need to pick the longest size.

Loska 100

Does easy handling or float in soft snow weigh more in your choice? This helps you choose between the two lengths that suit you.

This general guide is based on PUSU’s earlier size chart and ski makers’ general guidance. It is not a personal size recommendation.

Poles

Adjustable poles for piste days and tours. The length changes quickly with a quick lock.

About the poles

The pole's shaft is made from Alu 7075 – F56 grade aluminum. We chose this material because it offers the best properties for a touring pole. The advantages of Alu 7075 aluminum are its light weight and durability. The material is also fully recyclable.

PUSU Loska 100 -sukset viistosta kuvattuna, vaalea puuviilu ja kaartuvat päät.

Floats in soft snow, turns easily.

Loska’s tip rise, or rocker, helps the ski up onto the snow. The 100 mm width adds float in soft snow, and the tapered tail makes it easier to release the ski from the turn.

Taper means a shape that narrows towards the ends. On Loska it lets you let the tail slide when you want to change the turn or adjust your line to the snow.

PUSU Loska 100 -suksipari viistosta, puunsyyt ja suksien muoto näkyvissä.

Works on groomed pistes too.

You can carve Loska on groomed pistes too, so you don’t need to swap your soft-snow pair for a piste day. The sidecut radius of the 180 cm Loska is 17 metres.

The nominal radius does not dictate every turn you ski. Edging, how you load the ski and the snow all shape the turn you make.

A renewed construction, a familiar shape.

Loska’s lengths, widths and sidecut are unchanged. The renewal changed the fibre construction: the ski is slightly stiffer in front of the binding and slightly livelier overall than before.

The wood core is ash. The renewed fibre construction still contains a small amount of SPINNOVA® fibre. The base is sintered Isospeed UHMW recycled plastic, the same as in the earlier Loska.

We make Loska by hand in our workshop in Laukaa and finish it with olive ash veneer. The grain and tones of the wood make every pair unique, so the pattern on your pair may differ from the product photos.

The earlier Loska SPINNOVA® won an ISPO Award in 2022. The award applies to the previous generation; the new Loska 100 continues its purpose with a renewed fibre construction.
